'military roots of the radio & Country Music'
Julia of Cosmic Peach joins Sean to discuss how Laurel Canyon in the 60's relates to Music Row of the 40's & 50's.
RCA Victor's Studio B became a dominant force in the scene recording Elvis Presley & many others, creating the 'Nashville Sound'. Before that the Grand 'ol Opry created the culture of Country Music with 50,000 watts of propaganda to fill the airwaves given to RCA by the U.S. Navy. Culture creation was an old game by the time Laurel Canyon sprouted up in Los Angeles.
Julia & Sean also spend a good portion of time discussing Sean's new presentation titled Fidelio Experiment which examines Stanley Kubrick's last film Eyes Wide Shut.
