This week I have some new writing going up. Today we are going to be talking about the importance of life and death, why it is all important and why we shouldn't take any of it for granted. We are also going to be doing a reading from "The Science of Mind" by Ernest Holmes.
Please feel free to message me with your thoughts, questions or even your ideas on subjects to cover. You can also just tag me in the chat or email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
So, let's get started and move into our main topic today.
How do we deal with life and death? How we do we understand it? How do we associate with it and come to terms?
To get into that first I have to ask the what came first questions. So …
What came first? The chicken or the egg? The question or the answer? The light or the dark? Life or death?
The real answer is that is doesn't really matter because we have them both. Both exist and are aspects of reality. They are both key ingredients in the recipe of creation.
Most people will focus only on life and all the amazing gifts life can give us. Life gives us clarity, experience in the physical realm, it opens the door to truth and the chance to understand how this reality works. It gives us a chance to expand ourselves and grow. To learn. To move forward. Life in the physical world gives us capability. It's a skill building exercise that allows us to gain. It's the opportunity to interact. It's not bad to put focus on life (at least the majority of it) but it's good to gain some perspective and understand that all aspects of this reality that we experience matters. Nothing should be disregarded or ignored.
Often this gift of life can be squandered. Just like any other gifts. These gifts are not always recognized so they get discarded or taken for granted. I think this will only ever leave us vulnerable to the elements. There are many things in the world that can make life seem like it is nothing special. Many distractions that cause us to forget what is really important. We get caught up in all the trappings that extend to us false promises and false care. In a modern world that is over encumbered by institutional force it can be easy to get lost within the system and to not recognize all the gifts that life has to offer.
Even though, I think we should put out focus mainly in the here and now, living the life we have now. Most of our main focus should be on the current aspects of our lives, with a little of that focus being in the past in order to learn from it and deal with any past issues and a little of that focus being in the future in order to do a little prudent forethought and planning. It is not really healthy to dwell on the past or the future but in order to be able to grow and be generally well-rounded in your mind and heart sometimes issues caused from trauma inducing events may need to be addressed.
The good news is … there's good news.
The gifts that life offers doesn't end at just what we get to experience while we are in physical bodies. And it doesn't end with just one life. We are in an endless stream of consciousness. And I'm not talking in the spiritual sense. I am talking about this from a viewpoint that is very much grounded in the physical. Let's explore this clinically and with cold calculation. Life offers us much, but it often gets over shadowed by its counter partner death. Death is portrayed as some sort of daemon that is to be avoided at all costs. So, people will often spend so much of their time trying to pretend it doesn't happen that they forget to live life to its utmost fullest potential. They let fear and doubt rule over them and end up making unwise decisions that just lead them down a path of unhappiness. But I contend that if we associated with life AND death as a process of continuing growth and development, we would all have a healthier (and more fearless) attitude about it.
The way I view it death is just as much a gift to us as much as life is. Without death there is no life. There is no light without the dark. The dark only allows you to see the light more clearly. We live, we die and then we live again. A process of infinite growth through time using the application of physicality and Spirit.
Because we get to die is the reason we get to live. Death gives us purpose. It gives us appreciation for all that life can offer us. It solidifies for us what the truth is. It gives us the opportunity to experience the stream of consciousness. It gives us the chance to gain spiritually. Time moves with this process and coordinates with the spiritual progression we are all meant to have.
You might pause here and say, "how does death give us the truth when it is life that shows us what truth is?" Truth is about acknowledgment of what is real. Death is the aspect that makes us realize that the only way to operate within reality is fearlessly. The light may show us a path to truth, but death teaches us to accept and appreciate it.
Using an analogy, you can lead a horse to water … show that horse that it's safe to drink and that it tastes good, that it is beneficial and necessary in order to sustain life … but you can't force the horse to drink the water… which would prove to the horse that it is necessary to accept it in order to survive. The death process proves to us all the speculation we have during life about how reality works as a system.
Death is not our enemy. It is part of life. It is part of spiritual progression. It is a necessary element. There is no life without death. So, learning how to acknowledge it and accept it is vital.
It has probably always been this way, and I have a feeling it will always be this way. There ain't no getting out of it. Some people think they can escape the physical realm by ascending past it and fully evolving. But this seems like a false trail to me. There ain't no cheating, jumping ahead or bowing out of this system. This is the order of reality. The point of life and death is to experience, not to move past it as if it were an obstacle.
There doesn't have to be a big, magical or occulted mystical motive behind it. I think that we tend to over complicate things a bit and this makes it more difficult for us to access this system. We want it to be special, so we attach things that are not necessarily that important to the idea of life and death. We want it to be romantic … dramatic … supernatural. So, we invent ways to analyze and understand it. We develop skills and tools in order to reach the goal of understanding it. We feel like we need something that is grounded in the physical in order to connect to the truth about this system of life and death.
But my question is … why isn't it special enough that we just get to experience this phenomenon in the first place? Why drag ritual into it? Why not just be who and what we are without the trappings of what society says you need in order to come to this realization? Why conform?
Usually, people lean into the social constructs that are wrapped around understanding life and death because they first want an answer (everyone is really kinda' looking for THE answer) but also because it gives them the feeling that they are a part of something greater than themselves. So, they develop personalities around this and build from there.
All I'm saying is that we don't need to make a dog and pony show of it. We are over thinking things. Sometimes ritual and tools and developed skills have allowed people to access this information personally but I contend that we all have the inherent ability to discover this without a crutch … without ritual or special tools involved. I don't even think that it is necessary to know all the ins and outs of what humans have developed through many centuries known as occultism. All we really need is to develop the skill set that allows us to reconnect with ourselves and Source or God or That Which Set All Things Into Motion (whatever you want to call it). And I have said in my past work … all we really are is Spirit. And all our Spirit is are fractions of that Source. We are all ultimately of the same Mind. We are all essential elements of the creative process that enables life, death and the spiritual progression we get to experience through life and death.
As far as all the information that we have about our ancient teachings and occultism goes it's really just earth centric anyways. At least most of it. It pertains to us only. But if we were to go out into the universe and travel those stars, we would find that objective truth that all beings in creation can know as universal fact. Gods Law and the operation of reality is exactly the same everywhere. Morality and ethics are the same across the board. However, we would find that all the trappings we use to discover it is different. How people come to the truth about reality can alter this way or that but as long as the end goal is to find out the objective truth and operate within it morally then that's all that really matters.
And just to add a side note here to this statement, people will often revert back to this idea that morality and ethics change based on culture. Moral and ethical behavior is not dictated by culture and is grossly being misrepresented mostly by the parasite class who has been actively misleading and conditioning people into a false cultural narrative. Perceptions and opinions don't matter. The parasite class have redefined what culture is according to their own standards and the people have been lazy enough to accept this new distorted version of it. Culture is about art, literature, music, and how we use communication within our communities creatively. That is ALL culture actually is. Everything else falls under the trappings of regular life, hobbies and skills and infiltration from the parasite class.
For example, being patriotic is not really part of culture. It is just something almost everyone does simply because they are rooting for this team or that. It is subjective according to location. Things in our world often changes, alliances change, interests change, people change.
Another example: there are some religions that allow for the selling of their young daughters off to older men for future marriage. And these people and people who are even outside these religions will say. "that's just part of their culture". Is this something that we really want to recognize as part of human culture? I certainly won't.
If you tried you could caulk almost anything up to culture, even when it isn't. Immoral or unethical behavior does not get a free pass just because some people want to claim it as culture. This is the type of situation that can be clearly recognized as parasite class infiltration. Telling people that different people have different ideas about morality and ethics so it's totally fine if none of it matches up. Morality and ethics do not change. No exceptions. Culture is something that develops because people are expressing through Spirit in the physical realm. The aspects of culture are universal. All beings that exist utilize art, literature, music and communication and this comes from the spiritual side of us not the physical. Culture is a spiritual tool when you break it down to its very root not a physical one. Everything else is part of the subjective world.
For a frame of reference let's define morality and ethics. Morality is the action that is taken to produce a right action. Immorality is an action that is taken to produce a wrong action. Morality is an action. Ethics is the conscious wherewithal in order to evaluate what is a right or wrong action. It is in the realm of thought and emotion. Ethics is where we make a choice before we perform an action. Ethics is the question, "should I or shouldn't I?"
And I will say it again. Culture, which is how we use spirit to express in the physical using creative means, has NOTHING to do with morality or ethics. Don't let the parasite class teach you otherwise.
So, getting back to our main topic … if we were to consider that reincarnation is real, and I highly consider it as likely, then the understanding of life and death as a cycle of spiritual progression starts to make more sense. This should make the idea of death less of an ominous one and more of a subject of scientific interest. When people think of death they think of pain and suffering. The most someone can hope for is that they leave this life in their sleep. But pain and suffering can give us perspective. It shows us how not to be naive about life so that when we face the darkness within it, we can recognize what it is without fan-fiction and childish notions. It can teach us that not everything is as it seems and that there is much to investigate. It gives the "Who, What, When, Where, Why and How?" questions in our frame of reference. Death is a cold slap to the face and sometimes the only thing that checks our ego back into place. The funny part about it is, we have learned this lesson so many times. We do this to ourselves over and over. It's only through repetition that we build that muscle memory and start to learn and make progress.
It seems to me that we continue to learn and then forget again. Constantly. But maybe it is supposed to be that way in order for us to gain anything of value. Hard lessons don't come cheap, but they are the most valuable.
Experiencing hardship was the only way I learned how to ask questions and investigate the unknown. Facing death-like situations gave me perspective. Living life gave me the personal space to learn and grow from it.
I think everyone comes to these same conclusions eventually in their own ways. We don’t have to find the truth through pain and suffering, but it just works well as a sounding board. You can't hide from something that is blaring in front of your face like a bullhorn all the time. But human beings are very creative and can come up with methods to reconnect in all manner of ways. As is written above, people tend to lean on ritual and tools in order to do so. This isn't bad. I just don’t think it is necessary.
Coming from someone who has spent much of their life crippled physically I shun the very idea of having any crutch to lean on. I will stand without it. And if I fall … then I will learn how to stand back up again and continue on. This is the thought process I will apply to every aspect of my life. Regardless of the barriers placed in front of me. The only limitations are the ones I place in my own way and the ones that I allow others to place on the path through my journey. So, I will not give myself limitations. I will not allow others to limit me either. I am my own boss. My own steadfast advocate. Noone commands or influences me to behave in another way other than besides what I consent to.
I don’t think I have power. I KNOW it. I have no doubt. I have faith in myself and in Source. And I won’t be using any crutch in order to connect to it. I won't use a middleman because I know there is no need for it.
Let's look at a way some people use this ability in order to gain some of their power back. Let's turn to the Bible and do some reevaluation and investigation into the allegory.
In the Bible where Jesus says in Matthew 6:5 - 8 we are given the instructions for the Lord's Prayer. For the record … we do not and should not need any instructions on how to reconnect to God. This is an ability that is already inherent to us. But regardless of that people use this prayer all the wrong way. They use it like they are begging to God for gifts they think they are unable to attain for themselves. Or at least, this is how it is being taught by Church authorities. The parasite class wants us to think we have no ability to create our own path without turning to a higher authority. They want us to feel like we are in spiritual and physical debt to them so that they can control aspects of our lives which hinders our experiences and growth. So, they muddy up the waters with infiltration and division. Really this prayer is instruction for reconnecting your connection to Source and claiming your back your ability to create in this reality.
The instructions are as follows: "5: When you pray, don’t be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them. I tell you the truth, that is all the reward they will ever get. 6: But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you. 7: When you pray, don’t babble on and on as the Gentiles do. They think their prayers are answered merely by repeating their words again and again. 8: Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him! 9: Pray like this:"
This verse is telling people to not brag like you are special and understand that your connection to Source is personal. It is also telling you to take personal responsibility for your behavior. It's telling you not to pretend to have faith but to HAVE faith. Be confident. It tells you that using ceremony, ritual and worship will get you nowhere and ultimately amounts to nothing. God doesn’t care about ceremony, ritual or worship. Thinking that these things matter AT ALL is entirely a parasite class add-in to our original know-how of this process. The state stepping in a invented the state-approved version of faith and sunk their teeth in. In any rate, when these instructions say "Father" it is talking about your highest connection to Source and that when you use your thoughts, emotions and actions accordingly the only thing you will ever receive in return is truth, not just what you want. Jesus (if he was even a real man or an allegorical figure … it really doesn't matter in either case) is not a middle man. He tells you to go straight to God. No middle men, no ritual, no special tools. Source/God/Whatever is not a genie granting wishes. Jesus is not an answering machine.
The Lords' Pray goes like this:
Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us today the food we need, and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation but rescue us from the evil one.
Instead of how it is originally said in the Bible I may rewrite this to say this:
To the Source that operates in and through me, may you always bring the sword. May the truth come clearly. May my thoughts, emotions and actions line up with that truth, as it is in all reality. Present to us the resources we need, To live in accordance with the truth, and to bring the truth to those who don't. And don’t let us yield to coercion, but bring us the power against fear.
This is what I would prefer to read when I read the Lords' Prayer. A statement that enforces my resilience. Not a list that begs God for resources and protection without having earned it. I know that I have already been born with the ability to understand the truth and connect to Source. The only thing I need to do is realize it. God does not want weak, begging enslaved worshipers but strong, indominable warriors.
Let's continue on with more proof of this. In John 14:6 Jesus says "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." This verse isn't about you using Jesus like an answering machine and then he gets your message to God. It is saying that we as the individual are the only way to reconnecting to our highest selves and to Source. There is no middle man between you and God. You are the messenger. You are requesting and God is responding directly. The Bible is written in allegory and this is something that is mentioned multiple times. So stop taking allegory literally and learn how to read between the lines. When it says "Jesus" it really means YOU and when it says "Father" it really means truth or God/Source/That Which Set All Things Into Motion.
So, this verse should be read as: I say "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the truth except through me."
The reason I bring this up in this chapter is because when facing life and death situations within the physical experience we must build resilience and only ever use the truth in order to explain reality. We need to be honest with ourselves and hold our own weight. We need to be the master of our thoughts, emotions and actions. We will only harm ourselves when we buy into fantasy and not accept the truth. We only operate incorrectly when we don’t apply our thoughts, emotions and actions in accordance with the truth. This will only ever bring us more pain and suffering. Going against the grain on this particular matter will only make these lessons we learn more difficult to understand.
We must look at life and death and recognize them as gifts we are given. We should appreciate that we get to experience it all. Our jobs in this is to discover this and operate in alignment with it. To become part of the stream of consciousness. Not to find a way out of it.
One of my favorite quotes is from the 1999 movie "Stigmata". It goes, "The Kingdom of God is inside you, and all around you, not in mansions of wood and stone. Split a piece of wood and I am there. Lift a stone and you will find me." Nowhere in the Bible does it actually say this, but it is referring to the verse of Luke 17:21. Let's review Luke 17:20 - 21 to get the entire picture here.
"20: One day the Pharisees asked Jesus, “When will the Kingdom of God come?” Jesus replied, “The Kingdom of God can’t be detected by visible signs. 21: You won’t be able to say, ‘Here it is!’ or ‘It’s over there!’ For the Kingdom of God is already among you.”
The quote and verse are saying the same thing to us. I like this because it is encouraging people to not depend on any outside source or middlemen in order to see the truth/God/reality. It is telling you to be honest and know truth, to not be deceived. It is telling you that you don’t need someone else telling you about God or about life and death. It tells you that the truth is within you and everywhere around you. It's that simple. All you need to do to understand the truth about this reality is to reconnect to your highest self and Source directly. We don’t need middlemen, ritual or special tools for this.
Life and death are not scary or unknowable aspects of reality. They are gifts that give us insight into the truth about reality, about Source and how to function in accordance with the truth. Let's not take the unknown for granted. Let's instead embrace the unknown fearlessly and experience all it has to offer.
