“Repent and be born again” is just ancient esoteric poetspeak for, “change your attitude and renew yourself in consciousness.” It’s not about regret or any religious nonsense. These are churchisms, deliberate false interpretations to get people to feel powerless, shameful, and subservient – the three lowest forms of consciousness – so that the masses stay docile in the pews while evil runs amok.

That’s the whole point of any religion, especially the Abrahamic ones: externalization of power to some perceived authority whether mystical, celestial, or mortal. A human being who doesn’t embrace their own divine nature and power becomes a slave. A whole world of slaves makes tyranny a cakewalk.

The kingdom of heaven is within you, which means God is within you.

“I and my father are one.”

As divine sovereigns we can choose to co-create good or evil, peace or suffering, freedom or slavery. Our internal world is reflected as “reality.” If we’re all subconsciously latched onto falsehood, we will manifest chaos. If we “repent” and become “born again” in consciousness as whole/holy beings, we find salvation through the same co-creation process… through right action.

In the story of Eden there was the Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Both trees were in the center of the garden. Now think of Eden as symbolic of the body. What is your center? The heart. What does it provide? Life. If it stops beating, the body dies. What else do we connect the heart with? Care, empathy, conscience – AKA the knowledge of good and evil.

Adam and Eve were instructed to never eat the fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, that doing so would bring death. This is where the allegory deepens…

A tree is part of nature. It isn’t individuated and untethered from the earth like animals or humans. This particular tree was off limits so that we’d acknowledge and live in accordance with its natural purpose. Or you could say its Natural Law. When we “eat of the fruit” we are ignoring that purpose and deciding for ourselves what right and wrong are. We are ignoring the heart and ignoring conscience for our own subjective whims. This is the true “original sin” of moral relativism. When we’re not on the same page about right and wrong there can only be conflict, contradiction and chaos. And if we continue on that path we will destroy ourselves.

This is why the Jesus story exists. He was never a figure of worship. He was not a savior. He represented salvation through spiritual understanding and right livelihood so that we’d change our attitude and renew ourselves in consciousness. In other words, to develop True Care and True Conscience; not as subjects to a deity, religion or state, but as divine sovereign beings.

In the trinity, he represents the Male Child (Divine Masculine), the eternal offspring of God/Father (Creative Essence) and Goddess/Mother (Divine Feminine). In other words: Mind, Spirit and Body, or Thought, Emotion and Action. His entire mythos is about Unity Consciousness.

We are all our own saviors. “Jesus saves” because Right/Moral Action saves. Living in harmony with Conscience and Natural Law saves. When we “repent” we are only recognizing our folly and changing how we think, feel and act. It isn’t an act of shame or regret, it’s a shift in consciousness, a change in attitude. And thus we become “born again” as conscious co-creators with Care and Conscience.

Jesus’ story was simply a parable of right action. We are all Christs waiting to happen. He said so himself:

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” – John 14:12

This is true Christianity. It was never about externalizing power, or worshipping anyone, or following any dogma or doctrine. It was about recognizing that divine power within ourselves so that through Consciousness, Conscience and Care we can save ourselves from a self-inflicted perdition.

Sadly, we didn’t learn that lesson, but there’s still time. It all begins within. As we change within, so will the world. We have to let go of our belief systems that have done nothing but hold us back or worse. Nothing out there is the answer. Nothing out there will save you. No one is coming. It’s all within.
