According to Gertrude Jobes, in ancient times, “lightning is the arrow of the hero”. The word sagitta is Latin for “arrow”. You can see the relation of this word with sagittarius – the divine Archer, the constellation. I can recall reading somewhere in some occult writings that the planet Jupiter is also associated with this constellation. Jupiter, in turn, and in ancient times, was also associated with the god Zeus, and Odin. We all know that the thunderbolt or lightning are the divine signatures of these deities. The whole purpose behind their character is to explain and convey this “thunderbolt”.

The book written by David Talbott and Wallace Thornhill, “Thunderbolts of the Gods”, presented a view of the ancients concerning the electric universe. Simply put, their theory is based on the idea that electricity is manifested based on the vibrational differences of matter. In essence, all material manifestations, especially celestial bodies, are inherently connected with each other through electricity and this electricity manifests the magnetic phenomenon we call gravity. If their understanding is correct, that would imply that Einstein’s Theory of Relativity is erroneous and fundamentally wrong; because for Einstein, electricity doesn’t necessarily travel through space, magnetism doesn’t exist in empty space, and celestial bodies exert gravity on each other depending on their relative distance. In reality, this means, that nothing is really related to each other except for the relational gravitational force neighbouring celestial bodies are exerting among each other through space. Yet you hear noises of “experts” claiming the use of E=MxC² formula to put men on the moon. Well, the moon is our neighbour; so are Venus and Mars. I would argue that putting men on Venus, and Mars, the Einstein-way will do, but to travel to the closest neighbouring galaxy – well, that would be another story. I wouldn’t completely dismiss this formula though, but as a mystic, I understand that consciousness is the fastest in the universe, not light. I would argue that light, energy, and vibration are the spiritual manifestations of consciousness, where thought, love, and action are the physical counterpart. And if light is not the fastest in the universe, then Einstein has a little error in his formula anyway, because his Theory of Relativity relies on it.

I think the fundamental reason this formula still “works” is because Energy (E), Light (C), and Matter (M) are essentially the same - electric. For some a crazy idea, but then you find people such as James Clerk Maxwell explaining crazy phenomena in the quantum field which is also fundamentally electric. Then people such as Brian Greene explored string, superstring, and “M” theories, which try to combine quantum mechanics and relativity theories into one single coherent theory. Strangely enough, for the modern scientists, I may add, both of them seem to be “correct”, because the Theory of Relativity explains the world of the big celestial objects and quantum mechanics explains the world of the small – the atoms. But apparently, the Theory of Relativity and Quantum Mechanics do not coexist peacefully apart together. This is, again, for the modern scientist, mind-boggling because the world of the big can only exist from the world of the small – that is their logic. Rightly so. Their logic continues… if bosonic string theory is correct, the spacetime continuum is 26-dimensional. If superstring theory is correct, the spacetime continuum is 10-dimensional, and if M-theory is correct, the spacetime continuum is 11-dimensional.
The idea of the spacetime continuum from the point of view of modern science is that space and time cannot be separated, an idea also championed by Einstein. The idea is that space is continuous – there is no missing point in space, and time is continuous – there is no missing instant in time.
I can live with a 10-dimensional spacetime continuum. I can even live with an 11-dimensional spacetime continuum. As a mystic, maybe I can find the relationships between these dimensions and the Kabbalistic 10 Sphere-Sephiroth and use the Daath – the hidden Sephira – as the 11th dimension. Then I would hear the ancient voices of our beloved orthodox Rabbi’s stressing and reminding the uninitiated about the fact that there is 10 Sephiroth, neither 9 nor 11. So, that won’t work to some degree with ancient understanding, which they painstakingly have tried to keep the mystery teachings alive throughout millennia. For the 26-dimensional spacetime continuum, I would have to subtract the 4-dimensional (height, width, length, and time) spacetime continuum we are living in to get to the 22-dimensional spacetime continuum in order for me to link those 22 with the 22 paths on the Tree of Life. Then I would combine the superstring theory with the string theory to derive at the 32 paths of Wisdom. Unfortunately, maybe I would have to throw away the M-theory version in order for the other two theories to fit the Tree of Life model.

But, let’s assume that David Talbott and Wallace Thornhill’s ideas are heading in the right direction and that Einstein is wrong, then another idea comes to mind – The Kabbalistic Lightning Flash. The “arrow” of the gods. What modern-day mystics call “The Descent of Matter”, which the sages labeled more appropriately as “The Descent of Power”. Having its beginning in Kether (1), this idea uses the Thunderbolt which started in Kether (1), then goes to Chokma (2), to Binah (3), touch the invisible Daath to Chesed (4), to Geburah (5), visiting Tiphareth (6) to Netzach (7), to Hod (8), to Yesod (9) and finally Malkuth (10). However, not slow, but more like a thunderbolt – at once!
However, this lightning flash is not that which I am interested in. It is mentioned to provide you with a reference point. My thoughts are more geared towards the journey of the “arrow” of Kether (1), touching the invisible Daath, directly to Tiphareth (6), to Yesod (9), and finally to Malkuth (10). This phenomenon I call essentially The Electric Logos, the Word of God, the Path of the Serpent. This is the “string”, the Uni-verse, the one long sentence uttered from the beginning of manifestation directly to Malkuth (10) – Matter. On this Vertical Path, according to my understanding of the ancient texts, many father-suns were created, and Sophia, being now in Malkuth (10), has fallen below this “string”, below this “cord” – where there was no light. This Electric Logos, or Word of God, if you like, brings with it also, when looking from above, from the point of view of Kether (1), a phenomenon called – the Golden Ratio. This Electric Logos would then travel the Horizontal Path to the planets.
Around these father-suns, many planets were created. These planets are not directly on “the Path”, but are electrically sustained by the electro-magnetic influence of their neighbouring father-suns. Without their father-sun, these surrounding planets would not be in equilibrium. Which explains the reason Sophia was in distress when she fell. This “Word of God” is the same as the human spinal cord, where, seeing it from aside, will show the nervous system going from this vertical prime cord, called the cerebrospinal nervous system by scientists, to the other parts of the body. The father-suns in the human body would be the energy wheel, called in the East – The Crown Chakra. Consider that there are quite a lot of chakras, but the 7 larger ones are more often studied and more often referred to in occult writings –viz; the Root Chakra (7 - Red/Saturn), the Sacral Chakra (6 - Orange/Jupiter), the Solar Plexus (5 – Yellow/Mars – Sun & Pluto Octave), the Heart Chakra (4 - Green/Venus), the Throat Chakra (3 - Blue/Mercury), the Third-Eye Chakra (2 - Purple/Moon) and finally the Crown Chakra (1 - Indigo-white/Sun).
All father-suns resides on the level of the Crown Chakra, where the most life-like planet would be around the level of the Heart Chakra, where Mother Sophia, Gaia, our beloved planet Earth is currently, “exalted”. I say “exalted” because Sophia has fallen below the Root Chakra. There I would argue that Saturn, or Satan, wanted to sit “on the throne” of the father-sun, our sun. Saturn was a dwarf sun with a red-ish color, which fits in the idea of being in Malkuth (10) – the Root Chakra.
Saturn, couldn’t “impregnate” Sophia, Gaia, or Nature with an equilibrated vibration – which is a manifestation of consciousness as discussed earlier. Saturn wasn’t able to provide Sophia with the formula to create beauty, flowers for example – represented also in the occult as the Rose. There, the “Son of God” – our Sun, has been given as a gift to Sophia, which in this case resembles the story of the
virgin Mary, which afterward became Mother Mary. This Son of God, our Sun, the Christos, emanates this Vibration continually, this golden ratio, which in turn is part of The Electric Logos.
If this is true, that would suggest that, according to ancient texts, drastic celestial changes happened in our solar system to bring Mother Sophia – the Earth, between Mars (solar plexus/yellow) and Venus (Heart Chakra/Green). This also suggests the internal change that still needs to happen on a human level, bringing the human species in equilibrium between Venus- which represents love, and Mars-which represents action. Therefore, we need to increase our consciousness by following The Path of The Son – which is our Sun. All this came just from the single idea that the universe is electric. I would also argue to consider in that same spirit that our body is also electric and connected to the Uni-verse through the Sun. Through this golden
ratio, we would be able to harmonize with the Electric Logos. We should think, feel, build, and act based on this yellow/gold-ish vibration. In plain words, we should sustain life and freedom, which this Golden Ratio is continually doing through the light-emanation of our Sun.
Physicists and scientists are just partly rediscovering an idea that is as old as the human species itself and call it “discovery”. All suns, all planets are connected via this electric web… the central “cord” would be the Logos – the “Spinal” thunderbolt of the Universe. We are connected to this network via our consciousness. All these are electric and generate magnetism in empty space – yes. The true students of The Path were always busy trying to understand this electricity and how to use or employ it at will.
