The educational framework put forth here is intended as a Pathway to Freedom. The goal is to nurture and prepare children to flourish on Earth. By fostering their inherent desire to learn, create, and collaborate, we can guide children through Care toward an understanding of the fundamental truths of Nature.

The Pathway to Freedom has a solid foundation built upon Natural Law and the seven liberating arts. Natural Law provides children with an understanding of their inherent value and sovereignty, objective right and wrong, and the universal laws that create our condition as humanity.

The seven liberating arts make up an ancient approach to developing the tools of critical thinking within the individual. The first three components are known as the trivium and are described classically as Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric. More broadly, we can apply this to how we naturally come to know the truth through knowledge, understanding, and wisdom. The quadrivium is composed of arithmetic, geometry, music, and astronomy. These four tools are used to quantify and filter the data gathered in the grammar (knowledge) stage so we can come to a proper understanding of the truth.

This framework is not intended as a rigid curriculum but rather as a guiding path that values each child’s unique interests and creative expression. To use this framework, it is best to work from the section that best fits your child’s age range but if prerequisite knowledge is missing, it is best to return to earlier information to get up to speed.

For beginning students, the key is to teach phonics/reading, grammar, penmanship, basic arithmetic, and a firm understanding of right and wrong. Children should spend most of their time outdoors and using their imagination with play. It is also important to include children in home activities such as cooking, cleaning, home maintenance, gardening, etc… while giving them opportunities to learn by watching and doing. There is an eclectic library to supplement with literature, science, art, music, history, natural law, and Latin at each individual’s discretion.

Moving to middle school ages, we begin to provide the tools for understanding. Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric are core to this development. We also begin to further understand arithmetic and algebra. There is an eclectic library to supplement with literature, science, art, music, history, natural law, and Latin and Greek at each individual’s discretion.

High School age children will deepen their ability to filter knowledge through algebra and geometry, allowing them to better quantify their observations of the world around them. Armed with these tools, there is an abundance of resources for them to deep dive into whatever subjects they find interesting. This framework is focused on resources that help individuals understand nature and their unique relationship as part of nature.

Some of the links provided are full sets from different curriculum resources. These sets can be purchased as a set or can be viewed and picked from at each individuals discretion. It is also not necessary to use the particular book or set provided as long as the necessary subjects are covered.

We hope to inspire generations of humans who recognize their inherent value as individuals and their unique creative role within the dynamic world we call life. Through Love, Care, Courage, and Wisdom, our only limitation is our imagination.
