In order for us to understand what is taking place with Internet censorship today. We need to go back to its origin and "Why" it was created. It was created as a means to stop counterinsurgency and to combat rebellion against the American Empire. It was a weapon created by ARPA (Advanced Research Projects Agency) and the Department of Defense. ARPA turned into DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency), which we all know of today. During the Vietnam era, the American Empire realized there was a "New War" on the horizon. This "New War" would not be fought with bombs, missiles, or jets. It was War on the Mind. A psychological war, so the American Empire needed data and information on its enemies. With so much data being gathered, they needed a system that could analyse and predict certain "scenarios" and "Stop" Rebellion before it got off the ground. This is what the "ARPANET" main goal was.
